Family Engagement Opportunities
We value our partnership with families and recognize the importance of the school to home connection in the success of your children at school and beyond. We have several ways for families to partner with our school. All volunteers in any capacity have to complete a Person of Interest (POI) background screener. Please visit our school office for more information. You must be approved before you can volunteer.
Classroom Volunteers
Classroom volunteers may be asked to put together Friday Folders, put up bulletin boards, practice math facts, read or listen to a child read, or any other classroom needs. Please contact your classroom teacher if you are interested in volunteering.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The PTA meets once a month on the second Tuesday of the month from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in our library.
School Accountability Committee (SAC)
This is a state-mandated committee that is focused on providing input to the principal on the accountability of the academic programming, school budget, and calendar.
Family–Teacher Conferences
We have three formal nights of family-teacher conferences (two in October and one in February).
- In October, we invite all families.
- In February, we invite families with students that need a conference to address academic or social concerns or if families want a conference.
Also, please note that if you would like a meeting outside of these dates, please contact your child’s teachers.
